Our commitment: hospitality without a clinical atmosphere
Your stay in the Kaiser-Karl-Klinik should be a pleasant and stress-free time. We want to avoid - wherever possible - a clinical hospital atmosphere. Therefore the Kaiser-Karl-Klinik strives to provide hotel-style surroundings in all areas, and we believe that in general we have achieved this. The architect who designed the building has received a prize from the Bundesverband Deutscher Architekten for its unusual design.
In order to fulfil our commitment we offer a comfortable atmosphere in which you can receive visitors and entertain them - with efficient service.
All rooms have, of course, their own shower/WC and also direct dial telephone, fax connection, satellite TV (with many foreign and international channels) as well as radio and internet connections. Therefore you can carry out any urgent business commitments.
The patient restaurant is very spacious and well designed. You can choose between various menu options. Our chefs are trained in specialist diets and our kitchen has been awarded the RAL-Diät-Gütesiegel from the Gütegemeinschaft Diät und Vollkost e. V.
In addition the Kaiser-Karl-Klinik offers the KAROLINGER Restaurant. Here you can dine with guests or business colleagues à la carte. You can also hire the KAROLINGER for private or business functions.
Tour of the clinic
You are welcome to visit the clinic before you have your hospital stay. Please make an appointment with our housekeeper, Mrs Esser. You can reach Mrs Esser via reception 0228 6833-0.
Relaxation and recuperation
After your treatment you can relax in the parkland of the clinic as well as on the Rheinpromenade, which is nearby and has a splendid view across the river Rhine and to the Siebengebirge (seven hills).

Kaiser-Karl Club
For many years the Kaiser-Karl club at the clinic has offered an all-encompassing exercise programme geared to your health needs. It is available to those who wish to start, increase or regain fitness through varied exercises adapted to the abilities of the individual.
The club can offer you:
Rehabilitative courses for hips, knees, backs following an inpatient or outpatient course of treatment. These help to improve among other things strength, stability and confident mobility through exercises which are varied and useful in everyday life. Preventative courses aim to make general and meaningful training fun, give a sense of balance to everyday life commitments and improve one's personal capacity.
So-called sports courses improve one's basic condition for many daily commitments and sports, with a specific emphasis on strength, co-ordination, flexibility and stamina.
Groups are generally comprised of a maximum of 10-15 people, and so are small enough for each person to have enough space, and they can be monitored during the course. It is also possible to have individual training.
Currently about 300 members use the exercise and training facilities of the club. In addition, we offer a comprehensive water programme with aquafitness, swimming lessons for adults and a sauna. Chinese T'ai Chi and Qigong are also provided.
All trainers and course leaders are qualified sports teachers and/or sports scientists and have a range of qualifications in the rehabilitation and sports fields.

KAROLINGER Restaurant

Kiosk
Our kiosk on the ground floor of the Kaiser-Karl-Klinik has a wide assortment of articles: newspapers, magazines, postcards, stationery, toiletries, ice-cream, cold drinks, juices, cigarettes etc. In addition, there is a dry- cleaning service here.
For patients who are unable to leave their rooms we also offer a room service on telephone no. 425 (internal). The opening times can be found at the kiosk. You can get Sunday newspapers at reception.
Orthopaedic/medical shop
The medical shop RAHM is at your disposal on the 3rd floor of the Kaiser-Karl-Klinik. The opening times can be found on the door of the orthopaedic shop.

Parking is available on the clinic grounds and in the underground car park.

For a long stay you pay the special price of 60 Euros per week. The underground car park is not supervised and is used at your own risk. Please take care on exiting as there may be traffic entering! There is further parking under the motorway bridge (A 565) - footpath to the clinic about 500 metres.
